Glossa was founded by manager Elke Nuytemans,
My own specialities (editorial and legal texts) aside, I have had the good fortune to surround myself with an extensive network of translators over the years, all professionals I am proud to work with, people who know how to shape language and, time and again, manage to transform any source text into a gem. For nothing less will do.
Without exception, they each translate into their own mother tongue, within their own specific disciplines. This ensures every translation project always ends up in the right hands.
“Translating is about juggling with words, about picking and choosing the right terms, in sum, a creative process.”
With our advanced translation and project memories, you can rest assured that the texts we supply are consistent, both as regards terminology and style. And every translation gets scrutinised by a second pair of eyes before it is sent out to you. We did promise you quality after all!
What does Glossa specialise in?

What makes a translation a good translation?
A good translation is a flawless text that flows naturally, conveys the original content to perfection, is written in the right style and register and does not read like a translation.
And what is the importance of a good translation?
Your communications speak volumes about your brand and should be written with great care.
After all, you don’t get a second chance at making a good first impression.
“After making a number of online enquiries among my connections, I ended up contacting Elke at Glossa. And, as I am not given to turning down a speedy, efficient and smooth cooperation, I haven’t looked back since. ”
“Journalistic translations call for distance. The right distance, that is. It’s about the ability to stick to the content of the original text closely enough so that the message it conveys is not undermined, let alone changed, while, at the same time, being able to stylistically depart from the original text far enough to ensure that the source language (in particular, the grammar) no longer shines through in the translated version. I call that translation damage. For that reason, I prefer the term editing, rather than translating. Elke knows how to keep that distance like no other. The texts she translates have a freshness that cancels out any translation damage. It has to do with the rhythm of her sentences, the light-heartedness of her words. In sum, the prefect formula for lifestyle jargon. Working with Glossa is always a pleasure. The fact that this cooperation is as informal as it is pertinent, as pleasant as it is efficient, as light-hearted as it is respectful, as humane as it is transactional I consider to be an added value not to be sneered at. ”
“The first words that spring to mind when talking about Glossa are: professional and personable to a fault.
Our translation projects always run smoothly and are invariably carried out with the utmost attention to quality. At that, it is always a pleasure to work with Elke and her team of translators. In short, b-token is a happy and loyal Glossa client”
